Joseph
Elien
June 4, 1954 – February 17, 2026
Joseph “Joe” Elien was born on Friday, June 4, 1954, to Dantrolet and Hermance Elien in Port Au Prince, Haiti. From this beginning, his strong sense of family and community took root. Those early values guided him throughout his life, shaping the man he would become.
Joe found great pleasure in simple things. He enjoyed tending to his garden, watching boxing and mixed martial arts, and going on cruises where he could relax and take in the beauty of the world around him. Moreover, he loved spending time with his family, no matter the time or place. Every gathering, whether large or small, was an opportunity for him to share stories, laughter, and love.
Joe, a devoted husband, shared a beautiful life with his wife, Francinette. Together they built a home filled with warmth, faith, and laughter. He was an exceptional father to his daughter, Kathleen, and his son, Joseph Carl, guiding them with patience, humor, and the quiet strength that defined his character. To his extended family and many friends, Joe was more than a relative or companion; he was a source of encouragement, wisdom, and joy.
Joe lived a life defined by love, laughter, and steadfast devotion to God and family. He served faithfully as an usher at God’s Family Bible Church, where he greeted everyone with the same warmth and enthusiasm that he carried into every aspect of his life. His service was a reflection of his deep love for God and his community.
Friends and family remember Joe as someone who could put a smile on anyone’s face. His laughter filled every room, and his boisterous energy was unmistakable. Whether he was greeting a neighbor, helping a friend in need, or spending time with loved ones, Joe had a rare gift for making others feel seen, valued, and cared for.
Joe entered the sunset of life on Tuesday, February 17, 2026 at AdventHealth Palm Coast.
Cherished memories of Joe will remain with his beloved wife, Francinette; daughter, Kathleen; son, Joseph Carl; brother, Fritz; sisters, Bertho, Marlene, Milime and Irma along with a host of other relatives and friends.
