A native of Liberty County, GA., Johnny was born on Wednesday, August 2, 1939. The son of Henry and Betsy Winn, he was the youngest of eleven siblings. Johnny was educated in the Liberty County School District and was a retired logger. He was a former member of First Anderson Grove Baptist Church of Riceboro. He has been a resident of Palatka for the past 30 years, moving from Riceboro. Johnny was an avid sports fan and he loved to go hunting, but his most favorite past-time was to simply go walking. His favorite song was "Message from Maria" by Joe Simon. In addition to his parents, Johnny was preceded in eternal rest by his wife, Mariha Jones Winn (January 15, 2014); two daughters, Aileen Winn and Mary A. Winn-Houston; nephew, David Brown, Jr. He leaves to cherish his memories: daughters, Georgia (Joseph) Johnson, Riceboro, GA; Ylonda Winn, Savannah, GA; sons, Eugene Brennon, Eulonia, GA; Johnnie Jones, Jr., Brunswick, GA; Marcus Calhoun, Palatka; sister, Bessie (Albert) Roberts, Miami; brother, Henry L. Clancey, Tampa, FL; son-in-law, Carroll Houston, Savannah, GA; sister-in-law, Edith Winn, Eulonia, GA; special friend, Alma Davis Armster, Palatka; 16 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren; and a host of relatives and other friends. Johnny entered the sunset of life on Friday, January 2, 2015 at Shands at the University of Florida in Gainesville following a brief illness. Visitation of family and friends will be 5-8 p.m., Friday, January 9, at "Flagg's Chapel of Serenity." Homegoing Celebration will be 11 a.m., Saturday, January 10 at "Flagg's Chapel of Serenity" 2400 Madison Street, Palatka. The Reverend Theodore McRae, Associate Minister, Mt.
