Johnnie Cardell King, II, 63, of Palatka, entered the sunset of life on Thursday, April 25, 2019 at Haven Hospice E.T. York Care Center, Gainesville. A native of Palatka, he was the son of Johnnie and Myrtice King, Sr., born on Saturday, April 14, 1956. Johnnie was a 1974 graduate of Palatka South High School. He was a successful student athlete for football and track. Johnnie enjoyed watching sports, especially football and basketball, and also old western television shows. He also enjoyed cooking and spending quality time with his friends. To family and friends around town, Johnnie was passionately known as "JK". He knew no stranger and would hold a full conversation with anyone whom he came in contact with, which majority of the time included the love he had for his children. He was employed by Mathews Moving & Storage for many years.
He was preceded in eternal rest by his father, Johnnie C. King, Sr. and mother, Myrtice King; brother, Frank Bell; sister, Glennette Dasher.
