Johnnie Lee "Blue" Smith, 69, of Palatka, entered the sunset of life on Monday, October 14, 2024 at his residence. The son of Jasper, Sr. and Minnie Lee (Dennard) Smith, he was born on Thursday, June 16, 1955 in Palatka, Florida. He was educated in the Putnam County School District and attended Central Academy High School. He was employed as a farm worker. "Blue" enjoyed fishing at the St. Johns River.

In addition to his parents, Blue was preceded in eternal rest by his siblings, Cynthia Smith Speed, Ernest Smith, Richard Smith, and Jasper Smith, Jr.

He leaves to cherish his memories: daughter, Shantell Smith, Palatka; son, John Brooks Smith, Palatka; sister, Georgia Mae McRae, Palatka; brothers, Albert (Rev. Willie Bell) Smith, Davenport; Cleveland (Janet) Smith, Harvey (Vanessa) Shelley, Orlando; brother-in-law, Thaddeus Speed, St. Augustine; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Visitation of family and friends will be held from 3-5 p.m., Saturday, October 26, 2024 at Flagg's Chapel of Serenity.
