Obituary

John Henry Fab Moody, 51, lifelong resident of Crescent City, entered the sunset of life on Monday, September 29, 2008 at Haven Hospice Roberts Care Center, Palatka. John was born October 23, 1956 in Deland, FL. to the union of Thomas & Mary (Mims) Moody, Sr. He was a graduate of Crescent City High school, class of 1974. He was an active band member, playing numerous instruments including the saxophone, trumpet and drums under the direction of Mr. Timothy F. Robinson, Jr. He was employed as a school bus driver by Redland Christian Migrant Association (RCMA) and as a foreman for Florida Furniture Industries, Inc. John was united in holy matrimony to the former Katie Kelly and to this union two children were born. He loved playing tennis and was an avid sports fan. Johns preferred game shows were Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune. Johns willingness to help those in need, made him well known throughout the community, where he enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Although we do not know the path God has laid for us, we can say that the path that John took was followed and he will truly be missed by all. In addition to his parents; John was preceded in eternal rest by sisters; Ruby Miller, Emma Miller; brother, Thomas Moody, Jr. and stepson, Earthie White.
