Jimmy Lee Deleon, 53, a native and lifelong resident of Palatka, entered the sunset of life on Sunday, November 26, 2017 at Putnam Community Medical Center, Palatka. The son of Alexander Deleon and Louvenia (Wright) Crosby, he was born on Thursday, April 30, 1964. He was educated in the Putnam County School District. Jimmy was of the Christian faith. His hobbies included: working on cars, hunting, and masonry work. He was an avid Miami Hurricane football fan. His favorite sayings were: "Sho-nuff", "Right on" and "Come to me". In addition to his father, Jimmy was preceded in eternal rest by his sister, Delores D. Robbins.
He leaves to cherish his memories: parents, Louvenia (Edwin) Crosby, brothers, James E. Deleon, Alexander (Ester) Deleon, Jr., Freddie Deleon, Terry Crosby; sisters, Bea-Trece D. Stark, Toye Crosby, Diana C. (Joseph) Williams, Tracy Crosby, Sophia Molina; godson, Domarrion McKinnon; aunts, Alice Boyd, Beatrice Woodard; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation: 5-8 p.m., Friday, December 1 at "Flagg's Chapel of Serenity." Homegoing Celebration: 3 p.m., Saturday, December 2 at House of God Church, 723 N. 19th St., Bishop Dr. Gilbert L. Evans, Pastor, presiding. Elder Alonzo Mulberry, Pastor of Soul Mission Church of God in Christ, is the eulogist. Interment: Oak Hill West Cemetery.
