Jesus Mariano Martinez-Robles, 93, of Interlachen, entered the sunset of life at 3:46 p.m. on Friday, September 29, 2017 at Haven Hospice Roberts Care Center, Palatka. The son of Ramon Martinez and Eusebia Robles, Jesus was born on Saturday, August 23, 1924 in Arecibo, Puerto Rico. He was a sugarcane and coffee farmer. Jesus was of the Pentecostal faith and was a faithful member of Iglesia Torrre De Alabanza, and formerly served as Assistant Pastor. He was united in marriage to Adelina Gonzales-Soto and they were the proud parents of 8 children. He was preceded in eternal rest by his parents and seven siblings.

He leaves to cherish his memories: devoted wife of 60 years, Adelina Gonzalez-Soto; sons and daughters, Elsa Martinez, Ola Martinez, Jose' Martinez, Jesu A. Martinez, Ramon M. Martinez, Edwin Martinez, Sol Martinez, Jenny Martinez; 17 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; sister, Ana Delia Martinez Hernandez; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Homegoing Celebration was held at 6 p.m. Sunday, October 1, at "Flagg's Chapel of Serenity" with Pastor Rafael "Rafy" Roman, pastor of Iglesia Torre De Alabanza, Interlachen, Officiating. Interment was 4 p.m., Monday, October 2, 2017 at Pineview Cemetery, Interlachen.
