Jerome Eric Moore-Jones, 29, of Palatka, entered the sunset of life Saturday, March 20th at Shands & UF Medical Center in Jacksonville, FL following injuries sustained in a vehicular accident that occurred two weeks prior on Saturday, March 6, 2010. Jerome was a native of Gainesville, Florida, born Thursday, March 5, 1981. The son of Kathy Walker Moore (Harris) and Paul Jones, he was a lifelong resident of Palatka, educated in the Putnam County School District. He was a graduate of the Palatka High School, Class of 2000. He attended the Palatka Church of God by Faith. His hobbies included wrestling, boxing, and physical fitness. He and his twin-sister Constance celebrated their 29th birthday on Friday, March 5th, 2010. Jerome is preceded in eternal rest by his maternal grandfather, Arliss C. Walker Sr., Maternal grandmother, Mildred Hankins Walker; paternal grandmother, Mary Jones; paternal grandfather, Clemmie Green; Aunts, Marion Walker, Cynthia Walker Edwards and Carliss Walker.

He leaves to cherish his memories, beloved mother, Kathy Walker (Johnnie) Harris, Palatka; Father, Paul (Marvis Marie) Jones, Palatka; Siblings, Joel (Angelette) Walker, Jacksonville; Cynthia (Quintin) Evans, Constance Moore (twin sister), and Jameila Edwards, all of Palatka; Stephen Jones, Jacksonville; Wendy (Ricky) Mulberry, Fort Walton Beach, FL., Dorothy Jones, Gainesville, FL., Aunts, Pamela A. (Gerald) Conley, Pamela (Lorenzo) Smith, both of Palatka; Pastor Mary E. (Donald) Lewis, Valdosta, GA; Dorothy Mae Jones, and Mary Addison, both of Palatka; Uncles, Arliss (Connie) Walker Jr., Jacksonville; Joseph (Johnetta) Walker, Palatka; George Jones, Washington; Dempsey Owens, Warsaw, Virginia; Godmother, Teresa Aunt Abby Swinson, Satsuma; devoted niece and nephew, Larrisha Legree and Jace Walker; and a host of cousins, other loving relatives and caring friends.

Visitation of family and Friends will be Friday, March 26 (today) 5-8 p.m. at the Chapel of Serenity. Celebration of Jeromes Life will be 2 p.m. Saturday, March 27 at Church of God by Faith, 1511 Washington St. Palatka, Elder Phillip Thomas, Pastor is the eulogist. Interment will be in Oak Hill West Cemetery. The cortege will assemble 1:20 p.m. Saturday at his mother Kathys residence, 2201 President Street, Palatka.
