Jennie V. Salley, 76, of Palm Coast, entered the sunset of life on Tuesday, January 28, 2025 at her Palm Coast residence. The daughter of Spencer Davis and Jennie Lou Chavis, she was born on Tuesday,  November 16, 1948 in Washington, D.C. She grew up in Arlington, VA in the Green Valley neighborhood. She was a 1967 graduate of Wakefield High School. Subsequently, she moved to The Bronx, New York. She married Anthony Woodson and had two sons:  Michael and Kevin.  In 1976, Jennie returned to Arlington, VA. She worked in the business services field for many years as an Administrative Assistant both in New York City,  Washington, D.C. and Baltimore, MD.  In 2010, Jennie married Curtis Salley and retired from Aon Consulting of Baltimore, Maryland in 2013. She and her husband moved to Palm Coast, FL in 2016 and joined Mt. Calvary Baptist Church the same year. Jennie was a member of the Calvary Cupboard, the Hospitality Ministry and the Social Services Ministry. She regularly participated in "Monday Morning with the Master" prayer service and weekly Christian education opportunities. Jennie enjoyed cooking large meals and sweet potato pies which she joyfully shared with others. In her younger days, Jennie loved dancing and listening to all types of music.

In addition to her parents, Jennie was preceded in eternal rest by her step-father, James, and brothers, William and Spencer.

Loving memories of Jennie's compassion, faith and courage remain with: her loving and devoted husband, Curtis; sons, Michael (Paulette) and Kevin; daughter-in-law, Karen; step-sons, Michael and Derek; grandchildren, Shantae, Jazmin, Mikayla, Krista (Lyndon), Andrew, Brian, Tony, Madison and Sean; great-grandchildren, Brielle and Bryce; sister, Mary (David), sister-in-law, Clara; nieces, nephews, other relatives and beloved friends.

Visitation of family and friends will be held from 10-11 a.m. with a Celebration of Jennie's Life commencing at 11 a.m., Saturday, February 8, at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, 75 Pine Lakes Parkway South, Palm Coast. Rev. Edwin Coffie, Pastor, is the eulogist.
