Janiefer Jan Deen Crockett, 55, of Hollister, entered the sunset of life on Thursday, November 3, 2011 at Putnam Community Medical Center following a brief illness. A native of Alma, Georgia, she was born on Sunday, April 29, 1956 and formerly resided in Jacksonville. She was educated in the Duval County School District. She was a former member of Springfield Baptist Church in Jacksonville. She was a factory worker, retail department store employee and also a self-employed laborer prior to becoming a homemaker. Janiefer was united in marriage to Mark Allen Crockett, Sr. She was a caring, fun-loving individual who would help anybody. She really loved children and enjoyed sharing pleasurable times with her family. Janiefer was preceded in eternal rest by her father, Preston Deen. Those who will cherish her memories: husband, Mark Allen Crockett Sr., Hollister; mother, Mary Ann Johnson, Brunswick, GA; 2 sons, William Norman Braswell, Jacksonville; Robert "Robbie" Howland, Brunswick; sister, Kimberly (Steven) Williams, Jacksonville; grand-son, Cody Braswell, Jacksonville; stepson, Mark Allen Crockett, Jr., Gainesville; stepdaughter; Crystal Crockett, Ocala; 3 step grandchildren; Brooke, Brianna, Dakota, and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and other relatives and friends. A Memorial Celebration will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 5, 2011 at The Chapel of Serenity, with Reverend Karl N. Flagg, pastor of Mt. Tabor First Baptist Church, officiating. Visitation of family and friends will be from 1-2 p.m. Saturday.
