James Edward "J.C." Wright, Sr., 71, of East Palatka (Yelvington) entered the sunset of life on Wednesday, August 3, 2011 at Haven Hospice of the Lakes, Roberts Care Center, Palatka, following an extended illness. J.C. was a native of Bunnell, FL., born Friday, December 29, 1939 to Jay and Clementine Clemmie Wright and was educated in the Flagler County School District. He was united in holy matrimony to Annie Mae Brinson Wright on November 10, 1967. A retired logger, "J.C." was an avid fisherman who enjoyed watching westerns, wrestling, and the Maury Povich show.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in eternal rest by his brother, Sam Wright.

(Natasha) Wright, Mary Wright, East Palatka; Anthony (Anita) Wright, Jacksonville; brothers and sisters, Tom Wright, Palatka; Lester (Shirley) Wright, Gainesville; Eddie Wright, Elnora (Leon Gordon) Wright, Hawthorne; Bernice Wright, Ft. Pierce; sisters-in-law, Ann Sims, Miami; Lillian Brinson, Albany, GA., a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and caring friends, especially, Ruben Williams, Palatka and OChester Fennell, San Mateo; goddaughter, Linda Marshall, Palatka.

Visitation of family and friends will be 5-8 p.m. Friday, August 12, at The Chapel of Serenity.

Homegoing Celebration will be 11 a.m. Saturday, August 13 at The Chapel of Serenity, Elder Tony A. Brinson, Jr., Total Grace & Mercy Church of God In Christ, Albany, GA is the eulogist.
