Obituary

James Rex Mack, Sr., 66, of East Palatka entered the sunset of life, Friday, September 19, at Putnam Community Medical Center. He was born on Sunday, June 14th, 1942 in Palatka, Florida to William & Lizzie (Nelson) Mack. He was a lifelong resident of Putnam County. He was a US Army veteran serving in the Vietnam War. James was a migrant farm worker, who also worked in the railroad industry. He formerly attended Mt Nebo Baptist Church. He enjoyed sitting back and enjoying life. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in eternal rest by his brothers, William Theodore Mack, Cephus Mack, Robert Mack, Sr., sisters, Irene Mack and Henrietta Mack.

To cherish his memories; wife, Lillie Bell Harrington-Mack, North Kansas City, MO, daughter, Faye Mack, Kansas City; beloved sons, Travis Mack, Winter Haven, James Mack, Jr., Kansas, MO; 15 grandchildren, 3 stepchildren, Bessie Williams, Daniella Mack, John Williams all of Kansas City, MO, devoted companion, Lois Brandenburg, East Palatka, FL, 10 step-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, a host of other relatives, friends, and neighbors.

Visitation of family and friends will be Friday, Sept. 26th from 5-8 p.m. at the Chapel of Serenity. Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, Sept. 27th at 4 p.m. at the Chapel of Serenity, 2400 Madison St., Palatka. Elder Alonzo Mulberry, III, pastor of Soul Mission Church of God In Christ is the eulogist.
