James Willie "J.D." Felton, 68, of Jacksonville, FL., was called by our Heavenly Father on Wednesday, December 28, 2022 into eternal rest at his residence. A native of Vienna, GA., he was born on Sunday, February 14, 1954 to Willie James and Dora Lee (Anderson) Felton. " J.D." was educated in the Clay County School District at Dunbar and Clay High Schools, respectively, in Green Cove Springs. James was an Honorably discharged U.S. Army veteran and a "jack-of-all-trades" and worked in several trades over the years, including carpentry, plumbing, concrete finishing, and asphalt. He also formerly worked at a chicken factory for several years. He was a longtime resident of Green Cove Springs and relocated to Jacksonville three years ago. Jame s' hobbies included, hunting, fishing and attending family cook-outs.
In addition to his parents; James was preceded in eternal rest by two sisters, Lisa Arnett Felton and Pamela Ann Felton Fragale; brother, Samuel Lee Felton.
Those who cherish his memories: sisters, Diane (Ronnie) Ross, Green Cove Springs; Willie Mae Felton, Miami; Gloria Felton, Green Cove Springs; Dora (James) Hampshire; Green Cove Springs; Debbie Smiley, Jacksonville; brother, Arthur James Felton, Tampa; James (Sharena) Felton, Orange Park; special daughter, Charlotte Smith, Jacksonville; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many sorrowing friends.
The Felton family will gather to share loving memories of "J.D." with the U.S. Army conducting military honors at 10 o'clock a.m., graveside on Saturday, January 21, 2023 at Mt.
