JaKyria Denise Lane Collins, 21, of Crescent City, entered the sunset of life on Monday, April 26, 2021 at her grandmother's residence in Palatka. The daughter of Herbert Collins and Stacey Lane, she was born on Tuesday, April 11, 2000 in Gainesville. She was educated in the Putnam County School District and attended E.H. Miller School and Tender Care Medical Services. Jakyria was a member of Johnson Temple Church of God in Christ under the leadership of Pastor H. Harry Banks and Missionary Ruby Banks. Jakyria was known as "Jackie" she was loved by so many people.
Jakyria had a smile that changed the atmosphere of any room that she was in. She began her journey 21 years and 15 days ago when doctors doubted her lifespan of living beyond 2 hours. But by GOD'S GRACE and MERCY she lived an amazing life with the ones who loved and valued her life beyond the stars.
Jakyria was preceded in eternal rest by her grandparents, Hester Lane, Mary Lane, Barbara (Leo) Blue, Corrine (William) Collins.
She leaves to cherish her memories: mother, Stacey (Larry) Blue, Crescent City; father, Herbert Collins, Archer; loving grandmother, Jeannette Coleman, Palatka; grandfather, David Smith, Sr., Wauchula; great- grandmother, Bobbie Rivers, Wauchula; sisters, Alexus Kelly, Kewanna Chappell, both of Crescent City; Carmen Blue, Orlando; Erika and Tandria Williams, Alachua; brothers, Timothy Kelly, Jr., Larry Blue, Jr., both of Crescent City; Tyrod Adams, Chiefland; Eric Williams, Alachua; aunts and uncles, Claretha Wilson, Elizabeth Carr, Ashley Faulk, Pamela (Emmanuel) Roberts, Jimmy Lane, David Smith, Trenton Faulk, Annie Monroe, Gloria Stevens, Lamar Collins, William King, Leo Blue, Jr.; and a host of aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends, including special friends, Robbin Stubbins, Cathy Williams, Cathy Lee, Sherry Wright, Trinisha Austin.
In compliance with CDC COVID-19 guidelines including required masks with social distancing, a visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m., Friday, April 30 at Johnson Temple. A Celebration of Jakyria's Life will be 4 p.m., Saturday, May 1 st at Johnson Temple COGIC, 1150 Huntington Road, Crescent City, Elder H. Harry Banks, pastor and eulogist. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Crescent City.
