Obituary

JaKailah Kenyetta Jackson, 27, of Charlotte, NC (formerly of Palatka), entered the sunset of life on Monday, October 19, 2020 at Atrium Main Medical Center, Charlotte, NC. The daughter of LaRhonda L. Major and Willie J. Jackson, Jr., she was born on Thursday, December 3, 1992. She was educated in the Mecklenburg County, NC School District at Hopewell High School, Class of 2011.  She attended Joe Blasco School of Makeup Artistry, Orlando where she became a certified makeup artist (April 2014).  She was a logistics handler employed by Saddle Creek Logistics Services, Harrisburg, NC for 3 years. JaKailah loved spending time with her son, Carter, and creating hair and makeup video tutorials.

JaKailah was preceded in eternal rest by her great grandparents , Alton "Buddy" Major, Lorrine Jackson, Juanita Hills; uncle , Andre Tripp. Her grandfather, Clarkie "Chuckie" Medlock, transitioned on Thursday, October 22, 2020.

She leaves to cherish her memories: son , Carter Lee Blackmoore, Charlotte, NC; parents , LaRhonda (Benjamin) Harris, Ocala; Willie J. Jackson, Jr., Charlotte, NC; brother , Tyreek Lee Harris, Ocala; grandparents , Frank (Deborah) Hall, Palatka; Willie  (Sheridan) Jackson, Sr.; great grandparents, Algertha Major, East Palatka; Frances Nicklow, Palatka; uncles, Tyrone Potter, Panama City; Eric Jackson, Orange Park; Terrence Jackson, Conyers, GA; John (Marchianna) Medlock, Cordova, TN; LaMontra Medlock, Augusta, GA; Jerod Watson, Brian Hall, Tony Medlock, Jacob Medlock, all of Palatka; Frank (Crystal) Hall, Jr., Marcus Hall, both of Gainesville; Anthony Kaymore, Atlanta, GA; aunts , Tabatha Kaymore, Riverdale, GA; Natona (Wayne) Whipple, Samantha Tripp, NaKeashia Medlock, all of Palatka; Janelle (Mumba) Rivera, Orlando; Tykeondra Medlock, Ft. Benning, GA; Shirley Eubanks, Lakeland; Melissa (Ricardo) Wright, Orange Park; Katina Edwards, Charlotte, NC; and a host of other relatives and friends.

In compliance with CDC COVID-19 guidelines, a socially-distanced (masks required) visitation of family and friends will be 3-5 p.m., Thursday, October 29 at "Flagg's Chapel of Serenity". Celebration of Life will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, October 30 at Putnam County Fairgrounds, East Palatka. Rev. Eric B. Jackson, Assoc. Minister, Bethlehem Baptist Church, Palatka, is the eulogist. Interment: Pattersonville Memorial Cemetery, East Palatka.
