Isaac Smith, Jr., 68, of Georgetown, entered the sunset of life on Monday, February 24, 2014 at Kindred Hospital North Florida, Green Cove Springs. A native and lifelong resident of Putnam County, he was born on Monday, June 25, 1945 to Isaac Smith, Sr. & Ophelia Oxendine. He was educated in the Putnam County School District at Middleton High School, Crescent City. He was a retired Laborer and was known for his hard work ethic. Isaac enjoyed watching Western movies, boating, hunting, and working outside in the yard. Isaac was preceded in eternal rest by his: father, Isaac Smith, Sr.; step-father, Alonzo Walker; sister, Judy Walker Williams. Isaac leaves to cherish his beloved memories; devoted mother, Ophelia Oxendine Walker, Georgetown; children, Lydia Green, Fayetteville, NC, Gregory Smith, Palatka, Rhonda Smith Deloach, Baltimore, MD, Isaac Smith, III, Orlando, Deniece Walker, Palatka, Deidre Walker, Georgetown; siblings, Eddie (Jean) Smith, NY, Joseph (Betty) Walker, Orange Park, Joe (Theodoshia) Walker, Georgetown, Rose (Carl) Treasure, Middleburg, Linda (Roy) Poppenga, Freehold, NJ, Mary Morrison, Georgetown, Joann (Ronnie) Vreen, Palatka, Joyce (Ron) Sharp, Palatka; 12 grandchildren, and a host of other relatives. A memorial service in Isaac's honor will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 1, at Pleasant Grove A.M.E. Church, 131 Georgetown Shortcut Road, Georgetown, Reverend Randolph Carter, Pastor is the Eulogist.
