Obituary

Isiah "Buddy" Reeves, a native of Durand, GA., was the son of Ester Reeves, Sr., and Lucille Dozier Reeves born on Thursday, May 21, 1931. Isiah was educated in the Meriwether County, GA., School District. He was a retired fern laborer and enjoyed spending time with family and friends.Buddy entered the sunset of life on Wednesday, April 29, 2015 at Coastal Health & Rehabilitation Center, Daytona Beach. In addition to his parents, "Buddy" was preceded in eternal rest by his step-father, Lesley Betrand; brothers, Ester Jr., Jessie, Willie Lee, Ceola, Curtis, Calvin "Bae," Harry, Emmitt, and John Reeves; sisters, Susie Lee (Reeves) Washington and Betsy Reeves (twin sister). He leaves to cherish his memories: daughter, Connie Reeves, Tallahassee; 6 grandchildren, Lori Small, Kirby Patterson, Sheena, Shadarria, Derek, and Isiah Reeves; 4 great-grandchildren, Ericca Small, Anthony Ivey, Jr., Stephon Patterson, Kidyn Haggins; sisters-in-law, Annie Mae Reeves and Juanita Reeves, both of Seville; 4 stepsons, Nathan, Dale (Butch)Reeves, Eddie Ford, Jr., Trevon Reeves; 8 step-grandchildren; devoted nieces: Lucille Marilyn (Robert) Johnson, Seville, Carole Reeves, Mahalia (Joe) Johnson, LaTashia Reeves, Maria Maddox and Barbara Jean Armbrister, Rochester, NY; devoted nephews, Randall (Shelia) Reeves, Fayetteville, NC, Earl (Sharon) Reeves, St. Petersburg, Raymond (Sabrina) Reeves, Calvin (Jr.) Reeves, Atlanta, Robert (L.J.) Johnson, Calvin (C.J.) Johnson, Paris Johnson, John Allen, Jr., Jaden Reeves, Randall Reeves-Avery, Thomas (Tommy) (Latoya), Travis Moody, all of Seville; devoted friends, Clifford (Broah) Moody, Lesley Betrand, Seville, Ronald Anderson, Frederick, MD; and a host of other relatives and friends Visitation of family and friends at St. Johns will be 5-7 p.m., Friday, May 15 at the church. Homegoing Celebration will be 11 a.m., Saturday, May 16 at St. Johns Missionary Baptist Church 1935 Barton Street, Seville, Reverend James E. Vickers, Pastor. "Buddy's" nephew, Lt. Col. Earl L. Reeves, of St. Petersburg, is the Eulogist. Interment will be in St. Johns Baptist Cemetery, Seville
