Isaac Ford, Sr., 74, of Crescent City, entered the sunset of life on Monday, October 1, 2018 surrounded by his loving family in Deltona. A native of Swainsboro, GA, he was the son of Ty'Cobb Ford, Sr. and Maude Lee (Wilcher) Ford, born on Thursday, July 20, 1944. He was educated in the Volusia County School System at Euclid High School, Deland. He was a member of Walker Chapel Church of God by Faith, Crescent City. Isaac was a longtime, loyal tissue machine operator in the Tissue Converting Department at Georgia-Pacific, retiring after 30 years of employment. An avid football fan, Isaac's hobbies included fishing, hunting, and going to the movies.
Isaac was preceded in eternal rest by his parents; daughter, Jacqueline Ford; son, Isaac Ford, Jr., sister, Maudelle; brothers, Charlie, Esau and Ty'Cobb Ford, Jr.
He leaves to cherish his memories, three sisters, Irene McNair and Martha (James) Robinson, both of Deltona; General Elder Dr. Frances (State Elder Frank) Matthews, Jacksonville; step-children, Marshall Nichols, Ft. Lauderdale; Andrea (Doug) Passmore, Columbus, GA; aunt, Ruby Lee Lewis, Dundee; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends.
Visitation of family and friends will be from 5-7 p.m., Friday, October 5, at Walker Chapel Church of God by Faith, 1109 Huntington Road, Crescent City. Homegoing Celebration will be held 1 p.m., Saturday, October 6, at Mt. Tabor First Baptist Church, South Putnam Campus, 608 Randolph Street, Crescent City, Elder Emanuiel Roberts, pastor of Walker Chapel COGBF, is the eulogist. Interment will be in the Ford's family plot at St. Johns Cemetery, Seville.
