Ira Lee Bacon, Sr., 71, of Crescent City, entered the sunset of life on Wednesday, June 2, 2021 at his residence.  A native and lifelong resident of Crescent City, Ira was the son of Albert Bacon, Jr. and Hazel Hilliard Bacon, born on Friday, February 10, 1950.  He was educated in the Putnam County School District.  He was of the Christian faith.  Ira was a handyman who also enjoyed preparing and cooking meals.  He was a very loving and humorous man who simply loved to have fun.  He especially loved children and spending quality time with his family.  Ira would give his very last to help someone in need.  To know him was to love him. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in eternal rest by his wife , Robin Bacon; sister , Louise Bacon-Brown.

He leaves to cherish his memories: son, Ira L. Bacon, Jr.; daughter , Alycia Bacon; 4 brothers , Willie James Bacon, Horace (Harriet) Bacon, Emanuel (Rosa) Bacon, and Peter (Sylvia) Bacon; 5 sisters , Elizabeth (Jerry) Bacon-Hamilton, Lois Bacon Gonzales, Julie Bacon-Oxendine, Mildred Bacon and Mary Ann Bacon; several grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews, especially Lewis Bacon; cousins and friends.

A memorial celebration will be 11 a.m., Saturday, June 12 at Johnson Temple Church of God in Christ, 1150 Huntington Road, Crescent City. Reverend Richard Carter is the eulogist.
