Deacon Idus R. Hughes, Sr., 79, of Palatka, entered the sunset of life on Saturday, April 12, 2008 at his residence following an extended illness.Visitation of family & friends will be 5-8 pm on Friday, April 18th at his church, Greater Mt. Moriah Missionary Baptist Church, 395 Alabama Avenue, Palatka, Rev. Michael McKay, Pastor. Homegoing Services will be 2 pm Saturday, April 19th at Mt. Tabor First Baptist Church, 4909 St. Johns Ave., Palatka Rev. Karl N. Flagg, Pastor. The Reverend Robert L. Wright, Pastor of Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church, Green Cove Springs, is the eulogist. Interment will be in Oak Hill East Cemetery.
