Gwendolyn Rose Cochran, 85, of Palm Coast, FL entered the sunset of life on Saturday, July 19, 2014 at her residence. A native of Chicago, IL, she was the daughter of Julius and Margaret Weil, born on Sunday, December 30, 1928. Gwendolyn attended Doolittle Elementary and was an honor graduate of Lucy Flowers Technical High School of Chicago. Gwendolyn met Wade Cochran and soon married the love of her life. To this union three children were born, Wade, Michael, and Patricia. In 1999 she moved to Palm Coast and united with Mt. Calvary Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend Edwin Coffie. This blessed woman of God has now completed and fulfilled her journey here on earth, only to begin her heavenly journey that is eternal. Job well done thy good and faithful servant, take your rest! Gwendolyn was preceded in death by her parents, Julius and Margaret Weil; her husband, Wade Cochran, Sr.; her brothers, Julius, Daniel, Eddie and Warren Weil; her sisters, Zebra Howze, Margaret Booth and Laura Henderson; her daughter-in-law, Sondanese Buffin; and her great-grandson, Lemont Harris, Jr. Celebrating Gwendolyn's Homegoing are her three children, Wade (Ann) Cochran Jr., Dolton, IL, Michael (Luella) Cochran, Debary, FL, and Patricia Harris, Palm Coast, FL; a special daughter, Winifred Gray, Kosciusko, MS; grandchildren, Wade (Tami) Cochran, Highland, IN, Michael (Danielle) Cochran, Chicago IL, Dena (Romell) Wilson, Dolton, IL, Tiffany Powell, Monee, IL, Denise Mason, Calumet City, IL, James (Ishia) Mason and Susan Mason both of Burnham, IL, David Lacour, Irving TX, Candyce (Sean) McDaniel and Michelle Williams, all of Chicago, IL, Chandler Buffin, Concord, CA, James Buffin Jr, Robert ( Sarah) Harris and Lemont Harris, all of Palm Coast, FL; a host of caring relatives, friends, and church family to remember her with fond memories of just how good our God is.
