Gregory Scott Hughes, 61, of Keystone Heights, entered the sunset of life on Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at VITAS Suites at the Plaza, Gainesville. A native of Detroit, Michigan, the son of Ester (Hollis) Campbell and Floyd Edward Hughes, he was born on Wednesday, October 7, 1959. Gregory was educated in the Wayne County Michigan School District. He was a 1978 graduate of Grosse Pointe North High School, Detroit, MI. He pursued his Bachelor's degree in Business at Ferris State College and a Master's degree in Education. Gregory was a member of Starke Seventh Day Adventist Church under the leadership of Pastor Curtis Johnson. He enjoyed going on medical mission trips with the Lion's Club where he helped distribute glasses to underprivileged countries. Gregory was an optician at Pearle Vision Center, Gainesville. He was preceded in eternal rest by his father.
