Obituary

Glovine Deloris Trapp-Howell, 74, of Crescent City, entered the sunset of life on Sunday, September 15, 2013 at Ridgecrest Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Deland, following an extended illness. The daughter of Mable Jackson and Elijah Bradshaw, Sr., she was a native of Palatka, born on Friday, October 28, 1938 and educated at Central Academy High School. On February 15, 2000, she was united in marriage to James Earl Howell in Detroit. In September, 2004 upon relocating to Florida, she accepted the Lord as her personal Saviour and became a member of Victory Worship Center, Crescent City. Her hobbies included shopping, gardening (especially working in her plants) and keeping her nails manicured. In addition to her parents, Glovine was preceded in eternal rest by her stepfather, Emanuel Johnson; siblings, Eva Mae Butler, Maria Jackson, Betty Joe Stafford, Linda Griffin, Cecil and Ralph Johnson. Those who cherish her memories; devoted husband, James E. Howell, Crescent City; stepdaughters, Laryness (Sam) Sears, Callia J. Dew, both of Gifford; sisters, Evelyn (Willie) Washington and Patricia Johnson, both of Welaka; Cormeal Donaldson, Elizabeth City, NC; Nellie Mills Quaintance, Jacksonville; Myrtle Elaine(Chin) Sherwood, Barbara (Anthony) Rutledge, and Precious (Terry) Colebrook, all of Miami; brothers, Alfred (Elizabeth) Johnson, Sr., Reginald (Joyce) Johnson, all of Welaka; Elijah Bradshaw, Jr., Kelly Bradshaw, Michael Bradshaw; all of Miami; sisters-in-law, Carolyn Scott and Christine Bolden, both of Palatka; Joyce Williams and Larneice Williams, both of Gainesville; Yvonne (Gerald) Hall, Ocala; Lillie Ruth Brown, CA, godchildren, Donnell Storball, Detroit, MI, Juwun Mills, Welaka and a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation of family and friends will be 5-8 p.m. Friday, September 20 at "Flagg's Chapel of Serenity". Homegoing Celebration will be 11 a.m. Saturday, September 21 at Welaka Church of God By Faith, 700 Palmetto Street, Elder Irish Smith, pastor. Apostle Lillie Tuggerson, pastor of Victory Worship Center, is the eulogist. Interment will be in the Welaka-Georgetown Cemetery, Welaka. The cortege will assemble 10:30a.m., Saturday at 725 Palmetto Street, Welaka.
