Gloria Dean Kelsey Moseley, 74, of Palm Coast, entered the sunset of life on Friday, February 27, 2009 at Florida Hospital Flagler in Palm Coast, Florida following an extended illness. She was born to the union of James Larue & Emma Pearl (Mays) Kelsey on November 11, 1934 in Jacksonville FL. The daughter of an African Methodist Episcopal Minister, she was raised in Alabama. She was a graduate of Paine College, earning a Bachelors degree in Nursing. She later relocated to New York, and it was there she met and married Harry E. Moseley and they settled in Peekskill, New York. She was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church of Peekskill. Gloria was a registered nurse formerly employed at Mt. Sinai Hospital in New York City, but most of all, she was a very dedicated hands-on mother and grandmother. She was preceded in eternal rest by both of her parents. Her 92 year-old mother, Emma Pearl preceded her on December 25, 2008. To cherish her memories are her husband, Harry Moseley, Peekskill, NY; Five children, Harry E. Moseley, Denver Colorado; Felicia Dean Moseley, Palm Coast; Susan Amelia (Alex) Rivera, Newburgh, New York; Timothy (Crystal) Sidney Moseley, Peekskill, New York; and Stacie Joy Moseley, Newburgh, New York; Ten grandchildren, Katrina Jeanine Moseley, Quynn Terez Dean Moseley-Accord (John), Rosa-Pearl Timothy, Alex Rivera, Timothy Moseley Jr., Parker Rivera, Christopher Moseley, Tyler Moseley Nicolas Moseley, and Sophia Moseley; and a host of other relatives and friends. A memorial service to celebrate her life will be 3 p.m. Thursday, March 5, 2009 at the Chapel of Serenity. Her children and grandchildren will share reflections and words of comfort.
