Obituary

Glenda "Nanny" Gail Campbell Williams was born on Sunday, October 11, 1970, to Victoria Mildred Campbell and Thomas Cave, Jr. Glenda was a native of Hastings. She attended Hastings Elementary and graduated from Palatka High in 1988. She subsequently attended Bethune Cookman College (University) as part of the Class of 2011, graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing. She served in the nursing field for 24 years. Her nursing career included dedicated service at UF Shands (2004-2020), working as a traveling nurse during the pandemic (2020-2022), and as a part of the remarkable staff at Ascension St. Vincent Medical Center (2023- 2025). Her hobbies included traveling, shopping, and providing care to others.

In addition to her parents, Glenda was preceded in eternal rest by her son, Daniel Keith Williams, Jr.; brothers, Epheriam Campbell, Joseph Campbell, Frederick Cave, Sr. and Earnest Cave; sisters, Deborah Threet, Faye Threet, Kimberly Campbell, Tommacenia Cave, and Jessica Middlebrook; and fiancé, Samuel Lamar Hackney. Glenda entered the sunset of life at 5:17 PM on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, at Haven Hospice Custead Care Center in Orange Park.

Myers; and a host of other relatives and caring friends including her devoted caregivers, Tanya Campbell Jackson, Vicki Allen BSN RN, Aundrea James-Harris BSN RN, Patricia Campbell BSN RN, Jeimara Campbell-Gamble RRT, and sister-in-law, Anya Welker.

Visitation of family and friends will be 5-7 p.m., Friday, September 12th  at "Flagg's Chapel of Serenity." Celebration of Glenda's Life will be 11am, Saturday, September 13th at the Lord's Temple City of Refuge, 140 Gilmore St., Hastings, FL, Bishop Thomas L. Cave, III, officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Hill West Cemetery, Palatka, FL.
