George David Wilson, Jr., 51, a lifelong resident of Palatka,entered the sunset of lifeon Thursday, May 5, 2016. The son of George David Wilson, Sr. and Annie Mae (Jennings) Beasley, he was born on Monday, February 1, 1965. He was educated in the Putnam County School District (Palatka High School). He was an outstanding PHS student athlete in track, weightlifting, and wrestling. George was employed as a cook. He was preceded in eternal rest by his parents and siblings.

He leaves to cherish his memories: nieces and nephews, Gloria Beasley, Mary Beasley, Henry (Greta) Herring, Palatka; Takela Addison and Veronica (Anthony) Clark, Crescent City; Lonnie Barr, Ruby (Sean) Jones, Hastings; Vickie Beasley, St. Augustine, James (Shirley) Kiser, Johnny (Peggy) Kiser, Denver, CO; Sarah Kiser, WI; and a host of great-nieces and great-nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends .

Visitation of family and friends at the chapel will be 5-8 pm, Friday, May 13. Homegoing Celebration will be 11 a.m., Saturday, May 14, at "Flagg's Chapel of Serenity", 2400 Madison Street, Palatka. Minister Carl D. Davis, Associate Minister of Mt. Tabor First Baptist Church, officiating.
