Obituary

Freddie Epheriam Campbell, 69, of East Palatka, entered the sunset of life on Saturday, June 3, 2017 at Haven Hospice Custead Care Center, Orange Park. The son of Rudolph Porter and Victoria Campbell, Epheriam was a native of Hastings (Silver Hill Community), born on Sunday, September 7, 1947. In his early years, he attended the family's church, Mt. Olive Baptist Church, Spuds. He was a 1965 graduate of Walter E. Harris High School, Hastings and subsequently attended Bethune-Cookman College in Daytona Beach. He was a longtime farm labor contractor who loved antique cars and going on cruises. He was an avid sports fan who favored the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Preceding Epheriam in eternal rest includes his mother, Victoria Campbell; sister, Kimberly Shanita Campbell; best friends, William Bobo" Smith, Dallas Thompson, and Aaron Young.

Visitation of family & friends will be 5-8 p.m., Friday, June 9 at "Flagg's Chapel of Serenity." Homegoing Celebration will be 11 a.m., Saturday, June 10 at The Lord's Temple City of Refuge, 140 Gilmore Street, Hastings, Bishop Thomas Cave, III, Overseer, is the eulogist and Pastor Abram Jones, presiding. Interment will be in Palatka Memorial Gardens.
