Obituary

Frankie Lee "Bill" Wilson, 63, a native of Flagler County (Haw Creek), entered the sunset of life on Sunday, October 5, 2014 at Flagler Hospital in St. Augustine. He was the son of Willie James Neal & Wrenda Maude Moreland, born on Tuesday, February 27, 1951. He was educated in the Flagler County School District, formerly attending George Washington Carver High School and a 1969 graduate of Bunnell High School. He also attended Daytona Beach Community College. He was a faithful member of Gethsemane Missionary Baptist Church of Hastings under the leadership of Pastors Rick & Karon Torrence. He was a longtime 40-year employee with Knight Jon-Boy and served as a Sanitation Service Manager. On August 12, 1995, Frankie was united in marriage with the love of his life, Gloria Denise McCaskell. Known as "Clyde the Glide," he had been an avid basketball star since high school with his infamous three-pointers and was a head coach in the Volusia County Basketball league. Frankie played in the Volusia County Adult Basketball League (I-95 Chevron of Ormond Beach.) He was a skilled fisherman, passionate basketball fan of Michael Jordan and LeBron James. He was a proficient instrumentalist on the drum while simultaneously a gospel vocalist. Frankie was always delighted with his favorite meal of "fish, rice, pork-n-beans, garlic bread and an ice cold Pepsi." In addition to his parents, Frankie was preceded in eternal rest by maternal grandmother, Ida Mae Robinson; maternal grandfather, Tom Willis; step-daughter, Glonda King.
