Frank Walker, 94, of Palatka, entered the sunset of life on Sunday, May 31, 2020 at his residence. A native of Anniston, AL, he was the son of Buddy Walker and Effie Clark, born on Wednesday, December 16, 1925. He was educated in the Calhoun County Alabama School District. He was a former resident of Birmingham, Alabama. He was also a baseball player in Haines City, FL. Frank was a faithful member of Mt. Olive A.M.E. Church, East Palatka. Frank dedicated his life's work as a farm laborer. He enjoyed watching & playing baseball, watching westerns, and listening to gospel music.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in eternal rest by his son, Frank Walker, Jr.; step-daughter, Candie Belser; sisters, Essie, Evelyn, Florine, and Marie Walker; brothers, Cleo and John Walker.
He leaves to cherish his memories: daughters and son, Kathleen Walker, Shirley (Danny) Walker-Crooms, Cedric Walker, Anita (Earnest) Walker; step-children, Donald (Bobbie Jean) Baker, Patricia Varnes, Rickey Medlock, Clarkie Medlock, Earnestine Green, Randy Hills, LaJune (Minister Alfred) Esau; 32 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren; cousin, Milton Walker; sister-in-law, Mag Walker; and a host of other relatives and friends.
In compliance with CDC COVID-19 guidelines (including required masks) a limited, socially-distanced visitation of family and friends will be from 8-10 a.m.; Celebration of Frank's Life will commence at 10 a.m., Saturday, June 6, at "Flagg's Chapel of Serenity." Reverend Rosalynn A. Long, Mt. Olive A.M.E. Church, East Palatka, is the eulogist.
