Obituary

Frank Thomas Turner, Jr., 48, of Palatka entered the sunset of life on Friday, December 11, 2009 at his residence following an extended illness.

The son of Frank T. Turner Sr. and Doris Wright, he was born Friday, August 11, 1961 and was a life long resident of Putnam County. He was educated in the Putnam County School District and completed his education at the Albany, GA Job Corps of America. Thomas was formerly employed by Best Packers and was a contract worker at Seminole Electric until his health declined. He dedicated the final days of his life with his family, friends and loved ones. On June 13, 2005, he was united in Holy Matrimony to the former Cynthia McCall whom he shared his life and legacy with as she stood strongly as a wife by his side. Thomas was a devoted husband, son, brother, uncle and a friend to many.

Thomas was preceded in eternal rest by his mother, Doris M. Wright; grandparents, Freeman & Ruby Walker, Bertha Mae Davis, and Elena (Moses) Richardson.

Thomas leaves a village to cherish his precious memories: devoted wife, Cynthia Turner, Palatka; Son, Billy Leonard, Palatka; Daughters, Sheneria McCall, Beleria Leonard, Betty Leonard, and Ayana Leonard, all of Palatka; Fathers, Frank (Lady Beth) Turner, Sr., Seattle, WA., William Billy (Pearl) Wright, Palatka; Brothers, David (Dorothy) Wright, Freeman (Sharon) Turner, Kevin Walker & Mack Grant all of Palatka; Victor (Robin) Wright, Jacksonville; Shelton (Natashia) Wright, Corey (Alanka) Wright, and Sam Jenkins all of Seattle, WA., Sidney Grant & Keith Grant, both of Orlando; Michael Farrow, Crescent City; Sisters, Kathy Wright and Kavonna Wright, both of Palatka, Karen (Mark) Belle, Palm Coast; Jessica (Christopher) Lewis, Deltona; Lorraine (Darryl) McFadden, Atlanta, GA; Sherita Turner, Palm Bay; Shiree Turner, Debra (Scott) Jenkins, Karleasa (Daniel) Mitchell all of Seattle, WA., Monica Jones of Dayton, OH., loved like a son, George Brown, Palatka; god daughter, Amiyah Leonard, Palatka; 9 grandchildren and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and sorrowing friends.

Visitation of family and friends will be Friday,December 18 from 5-8 p.m. at the Chapel of Serenity.

Homegoing Celebration 12 noon Saturday, December 19 at Calvary Missionary Baptist Church, 322 North 10th Street, Palatka, Rev. Frederick T. Demps, Pastor. Elder James Esau, pastor of the Interlachen Church of God By Faith, is the eulogist and Rev. Robert L. Wright, presiding.

Interment will be in Oak Hill West Cemetery.
