Frank Anthony Martinico, 61, of Melrose, entered the sunset of life on Saturday, May 31, 2014 at Haven Hospice Roberts Care Center, Palatka. A native of Brooklyn, New York, he was born on Wednesday, November 19, 1952 to John & Mary (Cherichella) Martinico. In his early years his family moved to Immokalee, FL where he was educated in the Collier County School District. Frank retired from the Hendry Correctional Institution in Immokalee following 20 years of service. Upon retirement he relocated to Melrose. He enjoyed attending church, fishing, and gardening. "Brother Frank" was converted at Mason Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, Interlachen, under the leadership of Reverend Charles Eubanks. His spiritual life was greatly enhanced by his enjoyment found through reading and studying the Holy Bible. He eagerly waited for Wednesday night Bible Study classes and Sunday morning church services. Frank was preceded in eternal rest by his parents. He leaves to cherish his memories: Loving and Caring Wife of 28 years, Beverly Martinico, Melrose; Daughter, Angela (Raymond Salazar) Martinico, Melrose; Son: Christopher Martinico, Bryan, OH; Sisters-in-law, Mary Fry and Kathy Sanchez, both of Lima, OH, Sandra Tirado, Tifton, GA; "Special Granddaughters" Gianna and Jaelynn Salazar; grandsons, Garvin and Holdan Martinico, Bryan, OH; "Special Brother" Willie (Margaret) Shaw, Melrose; and a host of other relatives and countless friends. A memorial service in honor of Frank's life and legacy will be 11 a.m., Saturday, June 21, 2014 at Mason Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, 122 Mason Road, Interlachen, FL., Reverend Charles Eubanks, Pastor is the Eulogist.
