Frances Robinson Johnson, 77, of Green Cove Springs, entered the sunset of life on Wednesday, August 11, 2021 at her residence. A native of Cussetta, GA, she was the daughter of Holsie and Mary Lee Robinson, born on Saturday, April 8, 1944. She was a graduate of Cussetta Industrial High School. She was united in holy matrimony to Sylvester T. Johnson, Sr. in June 1962 and they relocated to Green Cove Springs. She was employed by the Clay County School District as a bus driver, and retired after 43 years of exemplary service. At an early age, she accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at Good Hope C.M.E. Church, Cussetta, GA. Frances was presently a faithful member of Mt. Zion A.M.E. Church, Green Cove Springs, under the leadership of Reverend James Pernell, Sr. Her hobbies included: cooking and gardening (she loved nature). She especially enjoyed devoting her time to studying the Holy Bible and praying.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in eternal rest by her son, Sylvester Johnson, Jr.; siblings, Albert, Mary, Roscoe, James, and Charlie Robinson; son-in-law, Kenneth Walker, David McLaurin; granddaughter, Kenchetta Walker.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories: daughters , Conchetta Walker, Twala McLaurin, Istash (Roosevelt) Young; sons , James (Tammie) Johnson, Leland (Denise) Johnson; 13 grandchildren , Renada Walker, Christina Walker, Leland Johnson, Jr., Carron Johnson, Jamia Johnson, Jeremy (Shardavia) Johnson, Kion Johnson, Leland Johnson, III, Antony Johnson, James Fells, Tichina Devlin, Jade (Kelsey) Thomas, Kaye Johnson; 18 great-grandchildren , Syraina Watson, Micheo Jackson, Kreshaad Walker, Amaya Johnson, Jayonna Johnson, Jeremiah Johnson, Ava Johnson, Kion Johnson, Yaleena Johnson, Lamar Johnson, Skylar Johnson, Cymone Johnson, Armoni Johnson, James Fells, IV, Jenesis Fells, Bradley Houghton, Jr., Maliyah Houghton, Jewel Thomas; goddaughter , Hope Rice; caregiver, Eva McKinney; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Palmetto Avenue, Green Cove Springs. Homegoing Celebration will be held at 11 a.m. at Congregational Holiness Church, 2079 SR 16 West, Green Cove Springs, FL 32043. Her son, Elder Leland L. Johnson, Sr., Loving Hill Primitive Baptist Church, Seffner, is the eulogist. Interment will be in Mt. Olive Cemetery, Green Cove Springs.
