Frances Marilyn Camps Crawford, 60, of Sun City, FL, entered the sunset of life on Friday, October 8, 2021 at her residence. The daughter of Bishop Walter Camps, Sr. and Mother Nellie Mae (McCloud) Camps, she was born on Wednesday, August, 16, 1961 in Gainesville. She was educated in the Alachua County School District and later attended Sante Fe Community College and Powell's Academy Cosmetology School. On October 26, 1985, she was united in holy matrimony to Bishop Sidney Crawford, Jr. Marilyn's employment history consisted of Joon's Beauty Supply (Assistant Manager), Kim's Beauty Supply, University of Florida, Sunrise Pre-School, Welleby Elementary School, Sawgrass Elementary (IT Computer Specialist). Over the years, Marilyn faithfully served God at Landmark Holy Temple of God, hedges and Highway Ministries, Helping Hands Ministries, Free Church of Deliverance, Crawford Christian Center, Mt. Sinai Missionary Baptist Church of Deliverance and GST- The Family Church. She enjoyed working with children, cooking, traveling, singing, and spending time with family, especially her sons, Sidney and Seadric. She loved her family and also loved going to the beach!
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in eternal rest by her grandparents, Deacon Essie Camps, Robbie Camps, LeAndre McCloud, Mattie McCloud Franklin; father-in-law, Sidney Crawford, Sr.
She leaves to cherish her memories: sons, Sidney (Danielle) Crawford III, Lutz; Seadric (Chiquita) Crawford, Ruskin; Thadius (Ya'Sadia) Crawford, Palm Coast; mother, Wilma Reid Camps; mother-in-law, Willie Mae Crawford; 13 grandchildren, Jaden Crawford, Jada Crawford, De'Andre Crawford, Harmoni Crawford, Lyric Crawford, Layla Crawford, Driana Crawford, Se'Aundra Crawford, Seadric (CJ) Crawford Jr., Kourtnee' Crawford, Dylan Ace Crawford, Camryn Crawford, Camree Crawford; sisters, Prophetess Belinda Camps Mims, Evangelist Terrilyn Camps Boone, Pastor Beverly (Pastor Todd) Crawford, Evelyn Camps; brothers, Elder Walter Camps, Jr., Elder Alfred (Flora) Camps; sister-in-law, Angela Davis; brothers-in-law, Dr. Bruce Davis, Corey (Melissa) Robinson, Eric Robinson, Donald (Valerie) Bennett; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, godchildren, and treasured friends.
Visitation of family and friends will be 5-7 p.m., Tuesday, October 19 at Landmark Holy Temple of God, 1220 NE 23 rd Avenue, Gainesville. Celebration of Marilyn's Life will be 11 a.m., Wednesday, October 20 at Calvary's Family Life Center, 1414 Bronson Street, Palatka. Apostle Dr. Larry C. Mackey, Jr., 2nd Asst. Presiding Prelate, Kingdom International Assemblies, is the eulogist. Interment will be in Pattersonville Cemetery, East Palatka.
