Floria Mae "Sugga Lump" (Harris) Pierre, 65, of Jacksonville (formerly Palatka) entered the sunset of life on Friday, February 23, 2024 at HCA FL Memorial Hospital, Jacksonville, surrounded by her family. The daughter of Martha Ford Harris and Floyd Harris, she was born on Thursday, November 27, 1958 in Palatka. She attended Palatka Central High School Class of '76. Floria was a machine operator at Swisher Sweets Cigar Factory. She was of the Christian faith. Floria was a loving daughter, mother, grandmother, and sister. She enjoyed shopping, decorating and cooking.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in eternal rest by her son, Zachary Harris; grandfather, George Ford; grandmother, Thelma Ford; uncle, Isac Ford; aunt, Mary Harris; grandson, Musiah Jones; niece, Zakira Harris.
Floria leaves to cherish her memories: mother, Martha Harris, Jacksonville; sons and daughters, Brian (Franshawn) Bradshaw, Palatka; Erica (Leon) Bradshaw, Jacksonville; Gregory Cohens, Jr., Palatka; Ganesha Cohens, Jacksonville; 13 grandchildren, Tah'Quila Bradshaw, Questavia Bradshaw, Cornelius Miller, Emari Bush, Na'Rylan Bradshaw, Shakira Cohens, Germonie Cohens, Ga'Neria Cohens, Ellis Williams III, JaeVontae Williams, Braevion Williams, De'ywan Lewis, Ta'mara Lewis; 2 great-grandchildren, Jaisiah Lawton, Jaevion Williams; brothers, Henry (Kaziko) Jackson, Jacksonville; Townsend (Connie) Harris, Palm Coast; Michael Ford, Orlando; George (Katrina) Ford, Palatka; sisters, Patricia May, Palatka; Sandra (Johnny) Manley, Richmond, GA; Juaita Phillips, Thelma (Richard) Bradley, Sheila (Larry) Horn, all of Jacksonville; Rhoda Harris, Palatka; Lawun (Elijah) Banks, East Palatka; aunts and uncle, George Ford, Carrie Moody, Thelma Spell; goddaughter, Loretta Clayton; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Celebration of Floria's Life will be 3 p.m., Saturday, March 9 at Mt. Tabor First Baptist Church, 4909 St. Johns Avenue, Palatka. Reverend Karl N. Flagg, Pastor, is the eulogist. Interment will be in Oak Hill West Cemetery.
