Evelyn Connie Reynolds, 78, of Crescent City, entered the sunset of life on Saturday, September 10, 2022 at The Ponce Therapy Care Center, St. Augustine, FL.  A native of Quitman, GA, she was born on January 10, 1944 to Wonderful and Maggie Mae (Head) Davis.  The family relocated to Oviedo. Evelyn received her formal education in the Seminole County School System and attended Oviedo High School. She was affiliated with Elizabeth Baptist Church, Crescent City, under the leadership of Dr. Brian James. Evelyn was united in marriage to Wiley Reynold, Sr. and they were the proud parents of three children. In 1963, the Reynolds family moved to Newark, NJ, where she was employed with Ivers-Lee Becton Dickerson West Caldwell as a machine operator for 25 years. "Connie" was a lady of few words; she would give you the clothes off her back.  She enjoyed spending time with her family and fishing.

In addition to her parents and beloved husband, she was preceded in eternal rest by her grandson, Brian Reynolds.

She leaves to cherish her memories: daughter and sons,  Maggie (Bertrand Sr.) Anty, Wiley Reynolds, Jr., and Alfonso Reynolds; 9 grandchildren, Wiley Reynolds, III,  Iyesha M. Reynolds, Herbert Reynolds, Alfonso Reynolds, Jr., Christine Reynolds, Geneva Reynolds, Natanya Anty, Bertrand Anty, Jr., and Amauri Reynolds; sisters, Annie Lee Myers, Louise Arnold, Emma Mae Denson,  Christine Wilson, Perlene Williams, Corine Sawyer; god-sister, Rena Reed; and a host of great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends, including special friend, Jamica Mims.

Visitation of family and friends will be 10-11 a.m. with Celebration of Evelyn's Life commencing at 11 a.m., Saturday, September 17, at Elizabeth Missionary Baptist Church, 1227 Old Highway 17, Crescent City. Dr. Brian K. James, Pastor is the eulogist. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Crescent City.
