Evelyn Lee King, 78, of Green Cove Springs, entered the sunset of life on Friday, August 12, 2022 at Haven Hospice Custead Care Center, Orange Park. The daughter of Frank and Alberta Coleman Berryhill and Louis Asbell, she was born on Tuesday, February 22, 1944 in Green Cove Springs. She was of the Baptist Faith and a member of Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church, Green Cove Springs. Evelyn was a housekeeping entrepreneur. She enjoyed shopping at flea markets, fishing, solving puzzles, and crocheting.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in eternal rest by her son, Germaine Tyrone King; sister, Teresa Asbell Randolph.

She leaves to cherish her memories: son, Robert (Angela) Berryhill, Sr.; daughter, Angela (Kraig) DeSue; 8 grandchildren, Fannethia (David) Vitolo, Tiffany (Adrian) Jordan, Robert (Amanda) Berryhill, Jr., Arthur DeSue, Jr., Pierre DeSue, Ciera (Garrett) Berryhill, Charles (Kristy) Clark, Marcus (Britanni) Green; 2 brothers, Johnny Asbell, Jonnie Asbell; 2 sisters, Mattie Lee Troutman, Julia (Bernard) Lee; aunt, Emma Coleman; and a host of great- grandchildren, other relatives and close friends.

Visitation of family and friends will be 1-3 p.m. with Celebration of Life commencing at 3 p.m., Saturday, August 20, at Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church, 1300 Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard, Green Cove Springs. Reverend Robert L. Wright, Pastor, is the eulogist.
