Obituary

Estella Mae Cooper Carter, 86, of Palatka, entered into the sunset of life, surrounded by her family, on Saturday, March 26, 2011 at Putnam Community Medical Center. She was born on Monday, November 10, 1924, in Blackshear, Georgia to Ben and Rosetta (Middleton) Cooper. After relocating to Waycross, Georgia, she was united in marriage to Richard Carter and in the early 1960s they moved to Palatka, Florida. Estella enjoyed spending quality time with her family and friends, going grocery shopping and crocheting. She was a member of Pentecostal Church Of God In Christ. Estella was preceded in eternal rest by her parents.

To Cherish her memories, sons: Raymond J. Blocker, Chattahoochee; devoted son, Deacon Freddy (Sheryl) Martin, Palatka; devoted daughter, Missionary Vernessa (Elder Robert L.) Williams, Palatka; 10 grandchildren: Jeff (Maggie) Williams, Palatka; U. S. Army Sgt. Fredrick (Takeevia) Martin, Ft. Stewart (Hinesville), GA; Derrick (April) Martin; Robyn Williams; Melissa Williams; Debra Williams; Frenisha Martin; Robert L. Williams, Jr.; Aaron Martin and Titus Martin all of Palatka; 10 Great-grandchildren: Jordan, Arial, Derrick, Cameron, Darrian, Dorrian, Deznee, Dashawn, Dishaud and Zion; and a host of other relatives and sorrowing friends.

Visitation of family and friends will be 5-8 p.m. Friday April 1st , at The Chapel of Serenity. Homegoing Celebration will be 3 p.m. Saturday, April 2nd at Pentecostal Church of God in Christ, Palatka, Superintendent Johnny Shaw, Pastor, is the eulogist.

Interment will be in Pattersonville Memorial Cemetery, East Palatka
