Erma Thomas Robinson, 90, High Point, NC, former Palatka resident, entered the sunset of life on Sunday, January 30, 2011, at The Home Place at Piedmont Christian Home, High Point, NC following an extended illness. A native of Madison, Florida, she was the fifth of seven children born to Will & Annie Mae (Faison) Thomas, born Sunday, December 26, 1920. At an early age, Erma moved to Palatka and was a resident until 2003, so her family could provide additional compassionate care. She was educated in the Putnam County School District (Central Academy High School). She was united in marriage to McAfee Robinson and although they were not biological parents, they raised numerous children in their home. Erma was a longtime member of Mt. Tabor First Baptist Church and served faithfully on the Senior Usher Ministry for many years. Upon her transition to High Point, she united with The Greater Power and Praise Tabernacle, where she served on the Mothers Board and was affectionately known as the Peppermint Mother.

She was preceded in eternal rest by her parents, husband, and her siblings.

To cherish her memories, sister-in-law, Annie Mae Robinson, Palatka; and a host of nieces & nephews, especially Johnnie Mae (Willie) Brand, High Point, NC; Lillie Mae Boone, Palatka; great-niece & great nephew (caregivers), Pastor Barbara Bonnie(Otis, Sr.) Battles, High Point, NC., and caring friends.

Visitation of family and friends will be 5-8 p.m. Friday, February 4th at the Chapel of Serenity. Homegoing Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, February 5th, at Mt. Tabor First Baptist Church, 4909 St. Johns Ave., Palatka. Rev. Karl N. Flagg, Pastor. Pastor Barbara Battles of The Greater Power and Praise Tabernacle, High Point, NC., is the eulogist.

Interment will be in Resthaven Cemetery, San Mateo.
