Erma Jean Lowe Brown, 75, of Palatka, entered the sunset of life on Wednesday, May 4, 2022 at HCA Florida Putnam Hospital. A native of Perry, FL, Erma was the daughter of Benjamin Franklin Lowe and Ethel Lee (Merritt) Lowe, born on Wednesday, December 11, 1946. Erma was educated in the Putnam County School District at Central Academy High School. She was a longtime resident of Palatka and was a retired Certified Nursing Assistant at Putnam Community Medical Center (now HCA FL Putnam Hospital) Palatka and Ponce de Leon Care Center, St. Augustine. Erma's hobbies included shopping and listening to music, and she enjoyed checking on family and friends. She was a former member of Calvary Missionary Baptist Church, Palatka.

In addition to her parents, Erma was preceded in eternal rest by her devoted friend and father of her children, Eddie James Brown, Sr.; son, Eddie James Brown, Jr.; daughter, Lacherral Fenderson; sisters, Aldrena Hunter, Annie Lowe, and Veronica Jackson.

She leaves to cherish her memories: daughters, Tammy (Stannekia) Brown, Jacksonville; Alicia (Farrellton) McCullough, Palm Coast; Frances (Taurean Milton) Bruten, Deland; special step daughter, Lindon Brown, Palatka; sister, Glenda Braswell, Daytona Beach; brother, Bobby Lowe, Orlando; aunts, Deloris (Jim) Lewis; Evelyn Gant, both of Jacksonville; 16 grandchildren , 12 great grandchildren ; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and close friends, including her dog daughter, "Tess".

Visitation of family and friends: 5-7p.m., Friday, May 13, 2022 at Flagg's Chapel of Serenity. Celebration of Life: 2 p.m., Saturday, May 14, 2022, at The Emerge Church of Palatka, 1015 Washington Street, Palatka, Elder Leo Parker, pastor, presiding.  Rev. Robert L. Wright, pastor of Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church, Green Cove Springs,  is the eulogist.  Interment:  Oak Hill West Cemetery.
