Emma Jane Miller, 60, of Crescent City, entered the sunset of life on Monday, Jan.7, 2008 at Henry Medical Center, Stockbridge, GA, following an extended illness. She was born on August 24,1947 to the late Mary M. Moody and Ceasar Miller in Crescent City. She was a 1966 graduate of Middleton High School and later moved to Ft. Lauderdale where she attended a Medical Institute for nursing. She was a member of Union Bethel A.M.E. Church in Crescent City and was a faithful and dedicated employee at the former Lakeshore Nursing Home. Since June 2007, she resided in Riverdale, GA to live with her son and daughter-in-law. She enjoyed listening to music, dancing, singing, and being with family and friends. To Cherish Her Memories: Loving Son, Johnny C. (Shelia) Ransom, Riverdale, GA., Her sons father, Johnnie W. Ransom, Seville; Grand-daughter, Nichole (Dontez) Davis; great-grand-son, Jovan Smith; Brothers, Sherman Miller, Ft. Lauderdale; Charles Miller, Cecil Miller, Thomas Moody Jr., John H. (Katie) Miller, all of Crescent City; Sisters; Connell Miller & Louise Miller, both of Crescent City; and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces & great nephews, other caring relatives and friends. Visitation of family and friends will be Friday, January 18th from 5-8 P.M. at The Chapel of Serenity and Saturday from 12- 2 p.m. at the church. Homegoing Celebration will be Saturday, Jan. 19th at 2 p.m. at the Union Bethel A. M.E. Church, 200 Cedar St. Crescent City, Rev. Godfrey V. Taylor, Pastor. Her former pastor, Rev. Mildred J. Moten is the eulogist. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Crescent City. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Karl N. Flagg Serenity Memorial Chapel.
