Elouise McGill Israel, 83, of Palatka entered the sunset of life on Tuesday, April 21 at Kindred Hospital-North Florida in Green Cove Springs. Elouise was the seventh of ten children born to the union of Mack and Hattie (Williams) McGill on Tuesday, May 5, 1925 in Mullins, SC. Elouise was educated in the Marion County SC Public School System. She was employed with several hotels and restaurants in the Putnam and Flagler County region. Elouise was united in Holy Matrimony to Conley Israel and to this union six children were born. She chose to begin a spiritual covenant agreement with the Lord at an early age. Elouise joined New Life Holiness Church in Raines, South Carolina. After relocating to Palatka, she joined the Allen Chapel Methodist Church and served faithfully for many years as a leader for the children choir. In addition to her parents and husband, Elouise is preceded in eternal rest by her son, Anthony Tootie Boy Israel; four sisters and three brothers. To Cherish Her Memories: Children, Barbara Harris, Washington, D.C.; Ellen (Ricky) Medlock, Waldorf, MD., Johnny Lee Israel, Los Angles, CA., Connie Ray Israel, Palatka; Arthur (Irma) Israel, Washington, D.C.; Sisters, Kathleen Reeves and Sylvia Jane Wright, both of Mullins, SC; 4 grandchildren, Cornel Weston, Theodore J. Harris, Shalonda Rayne and Kimberly Harris; 11 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and caring friends. Visitation of family and friends will be Friday, May 1st from 5 8 p.m. at the Chapel of Serenity. A Celebration of Life will be 11 a.m. Saturday, May 2, at The Chapel of Serenity. Elder L. J. Hart, Assistant Pastor, Grace & Truth Deliverance Ministries, Inc. is the eulogist and Dr. Cora B. Fells, Senior Pastor, presiding. Interment will be in Oak Hill East Cemetery.
