Ella Mae Lewis, 85, of Satsuma (formerly Palatka), entered the sunset of life on Wednesday, November 13, 2019 at her residence. The daughter of Tommie and Annie Mae (Crawford) Donerson, she was born on Monday, January 15, 1934 in Camilla, GA. She was educated in the Mitchell County, GA., school district. In 1952, she relocated to Palatka and has been a resident of Putnam County for over 67 years. In February, 1955, Ella Mae was united in holy matrimony to Lonnie B. "Shorty" Lewis, Sr. Ella was a longtime member of Greater Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church where she sang in the Adult Choir and served on Usher Board # 2. Ella enjoyed fishing and keeping her lawn and flower beds manicured. In addition to Ella's parents and husband , she was preceded in eternal rest by her brothers, Thomas, James, and Allen Donerson, and Lucious Crawford; sisters, Bernice Lovett, Lula Grisson, Annie Culley, and Mary Hagans.

She leaves to cherish her memories: sons, Lonnie B. Lewis, Jr., Palatka; Ronnie E. Lewis, Orange Park; Anthony Ray Lewis, Gainesville; daughter, Teresa Lewis, Pomona Park; 11 grandchildren, Idris Livingston, Leroy Borden, Akilah Nasr, LaQuan Borden, Shewanda Howard, Jennifer Gowins, Kerrin Williams, Kenneth Williams, Keith Williams, Kaylanda Williams, and Whitney Hagans; brothers, Eugene (Virginia) Donerson, Orlando; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation of family and friends will be 5-8 p.m., Friday, November 22 at Flagg's Chapel of Serenity. Homegoing Celebration will be 1 p.m., Saturday, November 23 at Greater Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, 1000 North 19 ^th Street, Palatka, Rev. Anthony Q. Robinson, Sr., pastor, is the eulogist.
