June 9, 1948 – July 28, 2021
Elizabeth Louise Robinson, 73, of Palatka, entered the sunset of life on Wednesday, July 28, 2021 at Solaris Healthcare Palatka. A native of Palatka, she was the daughter of Edward Love, Sr. and Gertrude Hardy Love, born on Wednesday, June 9, 1948. She was educated in the Putnam County School District and a 1966 graduate of Central Academy High School where her favorite courses were Home Economics and Health Science. Mother Robinson served in the Usher and Nursing ministries for 20+ years at Antioch Baptist, Rochester, NY. She earned two Masters degrees in both Business Administration and Social Work from Robert's Wesleyan University, Rochester, NY. She was previously employed as a nurse at Strong Memorial Hospital for 10+ years as well as the Rochester Psychiatric Center for 25 years. Mother Robinson worked with Action for a Better Community for 10+ years where she helped at-risk and pregnant teenage women find jobs, housing and education. She helped to create programs to aid minorities in the Rochester, NY community to find jobs and receive equal treatment in the workplace. She also helped create summer work programs for the youth in the community. Mother Robinson joined Mt. Tabor 1 st Baptist Church Sunday, June 2, 1991 where she served as a faithful member and usher until her declining health prevailed.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in eternal rest by her son , Andre Robinson; brother, William "Earl" Love.
She leaves to cherish her memories: children , Michael J. (Demetrius) Robinson, Shaundra L. Walker; grandchildren , Martaveous D. Robinson, Michael A. Robinson, Bryanna E. Robinson; Christian Watson, Jaln Watson, Jaklin Marcelin; siblings , Claretha Gilkes, Edward "Buddy" (Patricia) Love, Joyce Pough, Helen Allen, Celeste Love, Derrick Love; and a host of other relatives and friends.
(Mandatory CDC guidelines for social distancing and masks required): Visitation of family and friends will be 5-7 p.m., Thursday, August 5 at "Flagg's Chapel of Serenity". Homegoing Celebration will be held at 12 noon, Friday, August 6 at Mt. Tabor 1 st Baptist Church, 4909 St. Johns Avenue, Palatka, Rev. Karl N. Flagg, Pastor, is the eulogist. Interment will be in Palatka Memorial Gardens.
