Elisha Mudcat Mack, 90, of East Palatka, a retired cement finisher, entered the sunset of life on Sunday, June 29th, 2008 at Earl B. Hadlow Center, Hospice for Caring in Jacksonville following an extended illness. He was the son of Julius & Essie (Green) Mack, born Saturday, April 20th, 1918 in Bunnell. He has been a resident of East Palatka since 1940. He was an honorably discharged U S. Army Veteran that served during World War II. He was a member of 3rd Mt. Tabor Baptist Church t, Yelvington. Preceding him in eternal rest includes his parents; Wife, Bertha Mae Mack; sister, Essie Mae Mack; brothers, Warren, Julius, Daniel, Shedrick, James & Willie B. Mack To cherish his memories, Children, Calvin (Lois) Mack, Melbourne; Bertha Mack & Elnora Pauline Mack both of Palatka; Emily (Daryl) Richardson; Brenda Wilson; Carolyn Butler; Joseph Wilson; Cleveland Wilson, Alphonso Wilson all of Baltimore, M.D; Elijah Butler, Alabama; Clara Gloeckler, Fayetteville, NC; Brother, Willie James (Lorraine) Mack, Brooklyn, NY; Sister-in-law, Ann Mack, Palatka; 31grandchildren including granddaughter & caregiver, Ellnora Paulette Cason, Jacksonville; 49 great grandchildren, 8 great great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation of family & friends will be (Today) Thursday, July 3rd from 5-8 pm at the Chapel of Serenity. Homegoing Services will be 11 am Saturday, July 5th at Bethel A.M.E Church, 719 Reid St., Palatka, Rev. James H. McGriff, Pastor. Rev. Leroy Kaymore, Pastor of 3rd Mt. Tabor is the Eulogist. Interment will be in Pattersonville Memorial Cemetery, East Palatka. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Karl N. Flagg Serenity Memorial Chapel.
