The family of Pastor Edna E Jones celebrates and honors the life of their mother, who has officially graduated from her earthly contribution and is at home with the Lord. Pastor Jones transitioned on Saturday, October 14, 2017. Having just turned sixty years old, her legacy is already, and will be, solidified through her untiring sacrifices, family commitment and foundation of faith that has been passed on to her children (and their spouses) and grandchildren.

Pastor Edna was a consummate faith leader, both a prayer warrior and tireless intercessor, dreamer and prophet. Her commitment to living out her faith and passing that on to others is evident in the thousands of people who leaned on her insight and gifting, as well as the numerous roles that she assumed in the faith community. Her spiritual acumen was matched by her professional and civic engagement as she served in many educational, professional and civic positions throughout Broward County, impacting the lives of multiple generations of students throughout the South Florida region, of whom many are stretched out throughout the world.

Pastor Edna is preceded in eternal rest from her husband of 34 years, Pastor Clarence Jones.

She is survived by her children, Dexter Humphrey, Pastor Canton (Mona) Jones, Dr Carmen (Pastor Christopher) J Harris, Keiera Jones Weaver, Dr Edna (Elder John) Miller, and Javarri Harris, and 11 grandchildren. She also leaves to mourn her mother, Christina Dixon, sister, Carmen Jones, and a host of nieces, nephews, and adopted children and family. Additionally, her ministry family will miss her physical presence, Redeeming Word Worship Center, the Church of God in Christ, Inc., and her Prayer Center Family will miss her daily morning prayer calls.
