Eddie Williams Jr., 80, Palatka, transitioned into eternal rest on Thursday, December 27, 2012 at Flagler Hospital of St. Augustine. He was a native of Alachua County, FL., born on December 20, 1932 to Eddie and Willie Mae (Lang) Williams, Sr. After relocating to Palatka over 50 years ago moving from Georgia, Eddie made Putnam County his permanent residence. He was a retired logger employed by Comer Logging Company for over 45 years. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Zola Mae Williams, Palatka; sons, Thomas (LaRhonda) Williams and Bryan (Doris) Williams, both of Palm Coast; Bernard Williams, Emanuel Williams, Robbie Williams, Kenneth Williams, and Roger Williams, all of Palatka; Carl Williams, Roy Lee Williams and Curtis Williams, all of Flemington, FL., Levi Williams, Alachua; Daughters, Willie Mae Williams McLeod and Carolyn Ann Williams, both of Palatka; Connie Williams, Alachua; Deloris Williams, Evansville, IN., Lisa Williams, Ormond Beach; Tangela (Cecil) Williams Sampson, New Smyrna Beach; Brothers, Cornelius (Dorothy) Williams, Mitchell Williams, Eddie S. (Rosa) Williams and Levon (Gwen) Williams, all of Gainesville; Robert Lee Jones, Jacksonville; Sisters, Thelma (Ernest) Williams Carter, Gainesville; Ida Mae Williams White, Alachua; Sisters-in-law, Velma Chandler, Ormond Beach; Barbara Chandler, Palm Coast; Rosemary Chandler and Betty Chandler, both of Palatka; Shirley Chandler Floyd, Raleigh, NC., brothers-in-law, Willie Cee (Lola) Chandler, Clermont; Donnell Chandler, Ormond Beach; A host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews; cousins and other relatives. A Family Memorial Service will be held at 11:30 a.m., Saturday, January 5, 2013 at Flagg's "Chapel of Serenity." Public Visitation will be held Friday from 6 - 8 p.m. and Saturday from 9-11 a.m. (No visitation during the service.)
