Eddie Lee "Block" Jackson, Sr., 47, of Palatka, entered the sunset of life on Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at Putnam Community Medical Center, Palatka. The youngest of twelve children, he was son of Harry and Dorothy (Byrd) Jackson, born on Monday, September 1, 1969 in Belle Glade, FL. He was a 1988 graduate of Palatka High School and during his high school years, "Block" was an avid basketball player. On March 6, 1992, he united in Holy Matrimony to Angela Johns, and they became proud parents of 2 beautiful daughters. Eddie was a former fabricator with Luhrs Boats and Sea-Ray Boat Co. He was a passionate sports fan and he especially loved the Dallas Cowboys.
He was preceded in eternal rest by his father, Harry Jackson; brothers, Harry Jackson, Jr., Henry Jackson, and George Byrd; nephew, Anthony Miles.

(Sabrina) Jackson, Bowling Green; Oscar Harvey (Jackie) Byrd, Belle Glade; sisters, Betty (Bobby) Stewart, Dorothy Coleman, both of Clewiston; Alberta (Gus) Miles, Christine (Patrick) Latortue, Sally (Willie) Flemings, all of Winchester, VA; father-in-law, Mark Johns, Dover, DE; mother-in-law, Elizabeth Baker, Palatka; sisters-in-law, Patricia (Cedric) Collazo, Palatka; Le'Kenya (Pierre) Robinson, Jacksonville; special friends, Kenneth Brown, Palatka; Steven Hill, Marvin Duke, Charles Butler, all of Belle Glade; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation of family and friends will be 5-8 p.m., Friday, March 31 at "Flagg's Chapel of Serenity." A Celebration of Eddie's Life will be 11 a.m., Saturday, April 1, at Mt. Tabor First Baptist Church, 4909 St. Johns Ave., Palatka, Rev. Karl N. Flagg, Senior Pastor. Elder Eugene Fells, Sr., Grace & Truth Deliverance Ministries, is the eulogist. Interment will be in Oak Hill West Cemetery.
