Earnestine "Red" Griner Hines, 59, of Green Cove Springs, departed this earthly journey to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, where she's resting in His arms, on Sunday, August 23, 2015 at Baptist-Clay Medical Campus, Fleming Island. A native of Naples, she was born on Wednesday, May 23, 1956 to the late Richard Griner and Sarah Francis Jackson. She was educated in the Clay County School District (Clay High School). She was a former Certified Nursing Assistant and a homemaker. In her early childhood years, she was a member of the Glorious Church of Jesus Christ of the Apostolic Faith, Pier Station, under the leadership of Bishop Charles Walker. Earnestine valued and loved spending time with her family. She was preceded in eternal rest by her parents. She leaves to cherish her memories: loving husband, Calvin R. Hines, Sr., sons, David Rakim (Renee) Brooks, Timothy (Shonda) Brooks; daughters, Regina Brooks, Leslie Carter, all of Green Cove Springs; Dallas (Johnny) Cooke, Jacksonville; brothers & sisters, Sammy (Janie) Griner, Jimmy Griner, Richard Griner, all of Rochester, NY, Gloria Miller, Ft. Myers; Margaret (Jessie) Rickerson, St. Augustine; Bruce (Shirley) Griner, Clearwater; Emmitt (Loria) Griner, Jacksonville; Vivian Griner, Sylvia (Gene) Howard, both of Pier Station; Kelvin (Tess) Griner, St. Petersburg; Frederick (Andrea) Griner, Bradenton; Aglay (Tim) Hollins, Craig Jackson, Green Cove Springs; numerous grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation of family and friends will be from 2-3 p.m., and Celebration of Life will commence at 3 p.m., Saturday, August 29 at Congregational Holiness Church, 2079 Highway 16, Green Cove Springs, Reverend Ronnie Surrency, pastor. Earnestine's brother, Bishop Frederick Jackson, Christian Faith Church of Bradenton, is the Eulogist. Interment will be in Mt. Olive Cemetery.
