Earl Andrew Lewis, 71, of Pomona Park, entered the sunset of life on Friday, October 9, 2020 at Lakewood Nursing Center, Crescent City. A native of Winston-Salem, NC, he was the son of Earl and Evelyn Lewis, Sr., born on Thursday, October 21, 1948. He was educated in the Burke County, NC School System at Atkins High School in Winston-Salem, NC. Earl was a migrant laborer and was preceded in eternal rest by his parents.
He leaves to cherish his memories: son, Kenneth Earl Lewis; sisters, Addie Lewis, Winston-Salem, NC; Dianne Gordon, Lake Forest, CA; brother, Fredrick Lewis, Santa Ana, CA; 5 nieces, 1 nephew; 8 great nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and special friends, including lifelong friends, Roegina Simmons, Willie "Luke" (Kathy) Simmons, both of Pomona Park.
In compliance with CDC COVID-19 guidelines (including required masks) a socially-distanced Celebration of Life will be held graveside at 12 noon, Saturday, October 17 at Mt. Tamo Baptist Church Cemetery, 120 Echo Trail, Pomona Park. Reverend Theodore McRae, Pastor of Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church, Federal Point, officiating.
