Obituary

Evangelist Dorothy Ann White Williams, 69, a native and lifelong resident of Crescent City, entered the sunset of life on Tuesday, February 7, 2017, at Putnam Community Medical Center, Palatka. The daughter of Elder Reuben Jack & Maebell (Washington) White, she was born on Wednesday, July 9, 1947. She was educated in the Putnam County School District (Middleton High School). Dorothy was united in Holy Matrimony to Elder John J. Williams, Jr. She was an owner, operator, and retired daycare provider. She was passionate about ministering God's word to the community. She really loved spending time with her grandchildren and also enjoyed playing Panda Pop.

In addition to her parents, Dorothy was preceded in eternal rest by her: son, Jerome Williams; daughter, Katronica Wilson; grandson Jontrell Williams; sisters, Ruby Lee Trammel, Lillian Kennel; brothers, Aaron, Billy Ray, James Otis, and Reuben Jack White, Jr.; niece (goddaughter), Vanvoris White-Clemmons, father & mother-in-law, John J. & Helen Williams.

To cherish her memories: devoted & loving husband, Elder John J. Williams, Jr, sons & daughters, Katureah Williams, John J. (Jodie) Williams, III, Katracia (James) Young, Johnell (Haley) Williams, all of Crescent City; step-children, Azie (Torrance) Abrams, Tina Williams, both of North Chicago, IL; Alyce Williams, San Diego, CA; 15 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; siblings, Willie Sylvester (Mary) White, Orlando; Anna Mims, Bristol, PA; Hattie Mae (Al) Gilliard, Trenton, NJ; William Hardy White, Rutha Bell White, both of Crescent City; Cornelius (Barbara) White, Deland; godchildren; Vanessa Ashe, Deland; Coretha Scott, Sabir "PeeWee", both of Crescent City; special children (nieces & nephews), Annie Williams, Crescent City; Dannette Simmons, Trenton, NJ; Minister Ricky White, Vero Beach; Ahkeem Addison, Orlando; Cornelius White, Deland; aunt, Mildred Woods, Palatka; sisters-in-law, Jeroldine (Robert) Haith, Libertyville, IL; Alyce Williams, Evanston, IL; Catherine Smith, East Palatka; Jacqueline Williams, Barbara Torrance, both of Zion, IL; Deborah White, Palatka; brothers-in-law, Arthur (Gwendolyn) Williams, Waukegan, IL; David Williams, Palatka; Ruben Williams, Valdosta, GA; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation of family and friends will be 5-7 p.m., Friday, February 17 at Mt. Tabor First Baptist Church South Putnam Campus, 608 Randolph Street, Crescent City, Reverend Karl N. Flagg, Pastor. Homegoing Celebration will be 11 a.m. Saturday, February 18, at Mt Tabor South, General Elder B.S. Davis, Officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Crescent City.
